NFPB Centenary Gathering

The first of the events arranged to mark the centenary of Northern Friends Peace Board will be a special but informal afternoon at Manchester Meeting House, on 2nd February, from 2.00 to 5.00pm.

This will be an opportunity for us to share a bit about our plans for the year, but also to bring together some of those who have contributed to and participated in a variety of ways in the activities and witness of NFPB. There will be light refreshments – it is a birthday celebration after all – input from few people who have been involved over the years, time for reflection and an opportunity to meet with others perhaps for the first time in some years or for the first time.

We have been preparing a number of resources and activities for 2013 in commemoration of this, our desire being to draw inspiration from past NFPB activities, to stimulate reflection and action on current peace concerns. The biggest of these – a day-conference – will be in York on 15th June. There will also be a walk of witness from Richmond Castle to Menwith Hill, at the beginning of July. And a pack of materials will be sent to Meetings.

We would be very grateful if you could let us know whether you are able to attend. [email protected] 01204 382330
